Tree Planting and Growing Activity

“He that plants trees loves others beside himself.” a famous proverb by Thomas Fuller which accentuates the mission of Metro Midsayap Water District as a water service utility that initiates ways in protecting the watersheds and consequently benefits our future generations which we strongly believed to be part of the duties and responsibilities that we should carry out as a water service provider.
The tree planting activity started at 7:00 o’clock in the morning conducted by the MMWD employees headed by Engr. Joey C. Tonzo, MMPA along the Libungan River at Brgy. Abaga, Libungan, Cotabato. Together with the sincere support of Mr. Bernie Bigwas, the lot owner, 220 mahogany and narra seedlings were planted.
Planting trees does not only mean an assignment to comply but also a long and watchful responsibility especially in nurturing them. Three (3) of the Production and Engineering Division (PED) personnel are assigned to regularly visit and nurture the planted seedlings composed of Mr. Ruel A. Dela Serna, Mr. Jose Glenn Arances and Mr. Jimmy F. Toralba.
