Larong Pinoy 2015

As part of the Annual Celebration of Midsayap Founding Anniversary, Metro Midsayap Water District in partnership with the Local Governement Unit (LGU) of Midsayap, successfully hosted the 3rd Larong Pinoy last November 24, 2015 held at St. Mary’s Academy Grounds.
The objective of the said activity is to help build camaraderie and sportsmanship among the youth (high school students) in Midsayap, promote physical fitness, encourage the youth to engage in outdoor games and to help promote our Filipino games or “Larong Pinoy”.
High School students from schools participated in the different larong pinoy games with the following winners, to wit:

- Bakya Race – 1st Place Salunayan National High School

The overall results ranking the different games with the corresponding points were tallied:
1st place – 5 points
2nd place – 4 points
3rd place – 3 points
4th place – 2 points
Non-winners – 1 point
Garnering 5 points, the Salunayan Nationl High School was declared Champion for this year’s Larong Pinoy, followed by Dilangalen National High School as the first runner-up, Arizona High School as the second runner-up, and St. Jude College of Science & Tech. – HS Dept. as the third runner-up. The declared winners received plaques and cash prizes and the non-winners also received consolation prizes.
