IN THE NEWS | MMWD conducts Linggo ng Malasakit Activities ![]()
The Metro Midsayap Water District (MMWD) conducted two (2) major activities for its “Linggo ng Malasakit,” which are in line with the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. ![]()
On September 19, 2023, the maintenance men and office personnel of the agency conducted its 4th iWaSH Awareness and Feeding Program at San Isidro Elementary School. MMWD served 267 elementary pupils including the school’s ten (10) teaching and non-teaching personnel. ![]()
The said program educated the pupils on the importance of water in their day-to-day activities, and they were also taught the proper way of washing their hands and its importance to our health.![]()
Engr. Darwin A. Dispo, MMPA, Head of the Commercial Section led the activity, and the ACD Division Manager Ms. Derna E. Dumasis, MMPA gave the welcome address in lieu of Ms. Carol S. Tolentino, CPA, MMPA, General Manager who was in Manila attending a dialogue organized by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA). ![]()
Ms. Marilyn B. Faunillan, Head Teacher 1 extended her heartfelt gratitude to MMWD for choosing their school as one of its recipients. She hopes that MMWD will continue to provide such activity. After the short lecture, MMWD served the all-time favorite arroz caldo and hot pandesal. ![]()
Meanwhile, the MMWD will conduct the same activity in two (2) other identified public elementary schools in Midsayap and Libungan in November and December of this year. ![]()
Earlier this morning, selected MMWD maintenance men and office personnel were joined with government and non-government organizations for a Tree Planting and Growing Activity at Barangay Malamote, Midsayap. The activity was MMWD’s 2nd major program for its “Linggo Ng Malasakit”. ![]()
The MMWD family is greatly honored for the participation of the following: ten (10) members of the Knights of Columbus headed by their Grand Knight Mr. Ricardo C. Salanatin and Municipal Council of Midsayap Antonio F. Bayya, Jr.; thirteen (13) from the 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company headed by PLT Col. Hestor M. Maderse, Jr. – Force Commander; ten (10) from the 34th IB 11ID led by their Commanding Officer LTC Rey C. Rico INF (GSC) PA; thirteen (13) from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Pigcawayan District Jail led by JINSP. Alvin N. Ballogan, District Jail Warden; four (4) from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Midsayap under the leadership of Insp. Evelyn F. Bueno, MPA, Municipal Fire Marshal; and from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Midsayap led by Engr. Jerk C. Viloan for contributing 300 seedlings for the said activity. ![]()
MMWD is thankful for the outpouring of support of these government agencies who are our partners in community service and have the commitment to making a positive impact in our society. ![]()
GM Carol S. Tolentino, CPA, MMPA challenged everyone to continue exploring innovative ways to integrate environmental initiatives into our agency’s practices. She emphasized that doing such does not only fulfill our corporate social responsibility but strengthens our relationship with stakeholders, enhancing our reputation and most of all contributing to a brighter more sustainable future for all.
