World Water Day Celebration

This year, Metro Midsayap Water District celebrated World Water Day last March 20, 2015. A Tree Planting Activity was conducted in the morning and almost 200 seedlings were planted by the MMWD employees along the Libungan River at Brgy. Barongis, Libungan, Cotabato.

On the same day, a buffet lunch was served to celebrate the birthday celebration of March Celebrators, officers and employees. Mr. Eugenio G. Morillo celebrated his birthday on March 10, 2015, Engr. Brian V. Rodriguez on the 13^th and Mr. Bernard A. Esprella on the 24^th of March.

The district also invited 9 different High Schools from the Municipalities of Libungan and Midsayap: Notre Dame of Libungan, Libungan High School, I-Link College of Science and Technology – HS Department, St. Jude College – HS Department, Southern Christian College – High School Department, Salunayan High School, Midsayap Dilangalen National High School, St. Mary’s Academy, and Notre Dame of Midsayap College – HS Department. The said schools were represented by students who participated in the Poster Making contest and Slogan Contest with the Theme “Water and Sustainable Development”.

John Paul C. Jumuad of Notre of Libungan High School got the 1^st place for the Slogan Contest, Ramil Cantomayor of Salunayan High School got the 2^nd place and Lynn Erica Delosa of NDMC – HS Department got the 3^rd place.

An excellent manifestation of art work concerning the theme made Lawrence John Gador of SCC –HS Department the 1^st placer for the poster making contest, followed by Clifferd John C. Silvano of Libungan High School at the 2^nd place and the 3^rd place was awarded to Jericho Bolences of St. Mary’s Academy.
